You should never complain about life...at least out loud.

Okay...I've been seriously slacking, and I apologize to my Tony C Today readers. It's not that I don't care anymore or don't have anything to say about practically everything (no comments needed on that people), my problem is life has become too darn overwhelming of late!

I love writing my blog. Truly. Contributing to both Kingdom Bloggers and Fellowship of the Traveling Smarty Pants is really cool too. Many of you have become my friends via the blogosphere, and I'm again very thankful for that. If I had one reason to blame my recent absenteeism, I guess it would be...global warming.

Now don't get all crazy on me. I mean the temporary, hemisphere-specific type of global warming called summer. Like most of you, the number of activities in my life is near directly proportionate to the outside temperature. As the mercury rises, so does the number of lines on my master 'to-do' list (which is inclusive of the sub-categorized 'honey-do', 'over-due' and 'wishful thinking' lists). Oh...and let's not forget mandatory pool time.

It's not that I don't love you folks!

Before you start lecturing me about actions speaking louder than words, let me either inform or remind you that one Mrs. Tony C is now 5 months pregnant. Although probably not necessary, I will nonetheless state that the 50-50 balance* of the 'daily chores' list (the foundation of any strong marriage) now falls disproportionately to my side of the scale. For crying out loud, I spent my Saturday cleaning an oven people! I cleaned BEHIND the refrigerator! I didn't even know there was a BEHIND the refrigerator until Saturday! I just thought any of my travel magnets that disappeared had moved on to bigger and better things or had fallen victim to one of Mrs. Tony C's kleptomaniac family members.* Who knew they were just behind the refrigerator with the toddler's Boots the Monkey figure she'd been screaming about missing for weeks?

Work has been crazy too. Apparently the more you work, the more you sell, and thus the busier you get. Who knew? I don't remember that principle or hypothesis from any of my business classes in graduate school. What good is a college education if it doesn't teach you how to work LESS? Work smarter not harder is cliche for a reason people! Also, when I suggested a 10-hour work day to my supervisor...I meant four days a week...not five. Be specific or the grass isn't greener or some other over-used idiom is the moral of that story.

Wow! Know what? I'm feeling a little less stressed. It's like the proverbial rock being lifted. Hmmm. I guess writing my blog is sort of my safety-release valve to prevent a catastrophic meltdown, or worse, explosion. Interesting.

Guess I need to move 'Write a blog post' higher up on the old master 'to-do' list and keep it there...

*For the record, the actual balance of chores is 75 (Mrs. Tony C) - 25 (Tony C) and no one in the immediate or family proper of Mrs. Tony C has ever been diagnosed with a mental illness, mental disorder and/or convicted of a non-crime of passion. Hey...I like being married and sure don't have time for divorce!

Slacker! When I hit the page, it smelled like old cabbage, and the spiders came out of the monitor - well the spiders may be attributed to the activites of the 60's - just not sure - but the cabbage was real.

Welcome back! I am assuming your next blog will have something to do with sex.

Aw, I hope Mrs. C is doing great - I'm still in love with her from her cameo in your vlog!

Gee I'm here wanting someone to clean behind our fridge and our oven - only I don't want to be pregnant so I'll give up on that. Besides, when it comes to these types of tasks I'm a huge believer in that old adage about "WHAT THEY DON'T KNOW CAN'T HURT THEM" and nobody, but nobody ever looks behind our fridge.

Another classic. You really should be working on a sitcom. I'd watch it.
